Ok so I fix my problem with comment spam by forcing my commenters to jump through hoops with a captcha.

Now they’ve resorted to spamming my TrackBacks… where will it end?

Fortunately they were content hitting me with a few dozen ads for their sicko horse porn, which were easily deleted from my database. Any creative solutions for TrackBack spam?

Del.icio.us Plugin for WordPress

The dynamic links on the left-hand-side of my blog are pulled dynamically from Del.icio.us. This makes it easy for me to manage my link collections without cluttering up my WordPress database.

Since I think others might like to take advantage of this as well, I’ve packaged it up into an easy-to-use WordPress plugin.

I’m proud to announce the Del.icio.us Plugin for WordPress version 1.0.

Update: Ok so it appears I should have done some more research before going through all the work to polish up my plugin. But mine is still new and different and in my opinion, better.

Take that, spammers!

After getting home from a trip I took with some friends to celebrate New Years, I discovered that I’d been absolutely slammed by blog spam. In fact, up until about 10 minutes ago they were still hitting me about twice a minute. Really nasty stuff.

So I set up the AuthImage plugin for WordPress to stop it once and for all. Now you have to fill out one of those annoying captcha questions every time you post a comment, but it’ll at least stop the spammers.
